Corfu Airport (CFU)
The National Airport of Corfu «Ι. Kapodistrias» was named after the first governor of Greece, Ioannis Kapodistrias, who was born on the specific island. It is located 3 kilometers far from the city centre.
Facilities – Airport Infrastructure
The sheltered areas of the Corfu airport intended for the service of passengers cover an area of 16,000 m2. The mezzanine floor, on which the offices of Fraport Greece and the airlines are housed, covers an area of 1,200 m2. In the passenger station there are shops, car rental offices, travel agencies, a restaurant, a café and an ATM, while free wireless internet (WiFi) is available.
The electromechanical installations are in the basement of the airport along with cooling machines and a storage space of 10,000 m2.
The runway (17-35) is 2,375 m long and 45 m wide.
