The first eleven months of the year saw a significant increase in passenger traffic at Fraport Greece’s 14 regional airports. According to the company’s data, more than 35 million passengers used one of the 14 airports it manages. More specifically, we are talking about 35.22 million passengers and an increase of 6.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2023, when 33.11 million passengers were recorded. In fact, we are talking about more than 2 million more passengers in this period.
The first airports in terms of traffic are Macedonia airport in Thessaloniki with 6.856 million passengers and an increase of 4.6% and Rhodes airport with 6.854 million. Corfu airport was third with 4.32 million passengers, Chania airport fourth with 3.88 million and Kos airport fifth with 3.04 million passengers.The lowest traffic was observed in Kavala with 288,313 passengers, Samos with 474,428 passengers and Mytilene with 536,440 passengers.
The largest increases in passenger traffic were recorded in Mytilene with 14.2%, Rhodes with 12.9% and Skiathos with 8.7%. The only airports with a decrease in passengers are Kavala with -3.8% and Mykonos with -2.7%.
